Whether you’re newly diagnosed, self-identified, or have known for years, you are warmly welcome here.
The group is guided by a facilitator with lived experience of autism, who helps keep the conversation safe, supportive, and balanced.
Before joining, you’ll have a short one-on-one introduction meeting - a chance to get a feel for the atmosphere, ask questions, and see whether the group feels right for you. It also means there will be a familiar face when you join your first session.
We meet once every four weeks on Monday evenings, for about one hour per session. There’s no pressure to speak more than you want to - quiet listening is just as valued as sharing.
This group might be for you if you’re looking for:
-
A sense of understanding and connection
-
A non-judgmental space to talk about everyday experiences
-
Practical tips for navigating life as an autistic adult
-
A place where you can simply be yourself, without masking
If you’d like to know more or schedule an introductory chat, please get in touch at supportgroup.nva.online@autisme.nl.
Participation is free for your first two sessions. After that, we ask participants to become members of the NVA.
